Check who we are before you give us access.

This page lists the public registers where you can confirm our company yourself, and how to check our bank account before you pay. You don't need to take our word for anything on it.

Who you sign the contract with

Refberg is a trading name. Contracts and invoices are issued by:

Dominik Smaga NETFACE
ul. Piękna 9
33-300 Nowy Sącz
Poland

Why the invoice doesn't say "Refberg". Under Polish law, a business run by a person carries the owner's full name in its legal name. So the legal name is "Dominik Smaga NETFACE", and Refberg is the brand it trades under. The two are the same business.

Since 2010. The business has been in the CEIDG register since 2010 (step 1 below). The white list (step 4) shows its current VAT registration, which dates from 2013.

The brand Refberg is new: the domain refberg.com was registered in October 2026, and the registration date is visible in WHOIS/RDAP. The business behind it is not new.

Check the public registers

Each register below is run by a Polish or EU public authority. The Polish registers are in Polish, but each one accepts a tax number in the search box, so you only need the numbers above.

  1. 01biznes.gov.pl

    CEIDG (business register)

Open the CEIDG search and enter NIP 7962390143. You should see the business name DOMINIK SMAGA NETFACE, the Nowy Sącz address above, status active, and the business start date in 2010. You can download an official printout (PDF) of the entry from the same page. We can also send it with our offer.

  2. 02European Commission

    VIES (EU VAT number validation)

Open VIES, choose Poland (PL) and enter 7962390143. You should see "Yes, valid VAT number", the name DOMINIK SMAGA and the address PIĘKNA 9, 33-300 NOWY SĄCZ. VIES shows the owner's name as held by the tax office, not the brand. That is expected.

  3. 03Statistics Poland, GUS

    REGON (statistical register)

Open the REGON search and enter REGON 121145302 or NIP 7962390143. You should see the same name, address and NIP as in CEIDG.

  4. 04Ministry of Finance

    VAT taxpayer white list

Open the white list and search by NIP 7962390143. You should see the VAT status "Czynny" (active VAT taxpayer) and the bank account registered for this business. This is the list you use to check our bank account before paying.

Verify our bank details before you pay

Invoice fraud usually works by swapping the bank account on a real-looking invoice, often from a mailbox or an email thread the fraudster has taken over. Here is how to rule that out.

  1. Our account is on the white list. Polish VAT taxpayers must report their business bank accounts to the tax office, and the Ministry of Finance publishes them in the white list (step 4 above). Search by our NIP, or by the account number printed on the invoice. If the account on the invoice is not on that list, don't pay.
  2. We don't change bank details by email. If our account ever changes, the new account will be on the white list first, and the change goes into a signed amendment to our contract. A message asking you to pay into a new account is not from us, even if it arrives in a thread you already use with us.
  3. The seller on every invoice is the same. Each invoice names "Dominik Smaga NETFACE" as the seller, with NIP 7962390143.
  4. Payments from outside the EU. For wire transfers we give IBAN and SWIFT/BIC on the invoice. The IBAN is the same account that appears on the white list.
  5. If in doubt, check outside email. The white list does not depend on any message from us: search it by the account number printed on the invoice. If you want a second check, book a short video call (in English or Polish) through the contact form and we confirm the account there. Don't use contact details from the suspicious message.

Other things you can check

  • Email domain

We write from addresses at @refberg.com.

  • NDA first

We sign a mutual NDA before we see any code. You don't have to give us access to anything to get an offer.

  • A first step without access

If you'd rather see how we work before giving us anything, start with a Debt Check. It needs no access to your code or systems.

Who does the work

Once we talk about your project, the person who writes to you is the engineer who works on your code. There is no sales team and no account manager in between, and there are no subcontractors unless you agree to one in writing.

The chat assistant on this website is an AI and says so. It only takes your inquiry and passes it on.

If something looks wrong

If you receive a message that claims to be from Refberg and asks for code access, credentials or a payment, and it does not come from an @refberg.com address, don't act on it. Forward it to [email protected]. Our company details are also at the bottom of every page.
